1. Introduction

Welcome to Hananiah ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the purchase of products from our online store.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to place an order on our website.

 

3. Products

Hananiah offers handmade cosmetic products for sale within the Republic of South Africa.

We strive to ensure that product descriptions, images, colours and information are as accurate as possible. Because our products are handmade, slight variations in appearance, colour, texture or packaging may occur and do not constitute defects.

Some images displayed on our website are AI-generated for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product.

 

4. Pricing

All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).

Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price charged will be the price displayed at the time your order is placed.

Unless otherwise stated, prices exclude shipping charges.

 

5. Orders

Submitting an order does not automatically constitute acceptance of that order.

An order is only accepted once:

• Payment has been successfully received through our payment provider (iKhokha); and

• Stock is available.

If stock is unavailable after payment has been received, we will notify you and arrange either a refund or an alternative product where applicable.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel orders where necessary, including where pricing errors, suspected fraud or stock shortages occur.

 

6. Payment

We currently accept secure online payments through iKhokha.

Orders will only be processed once payment has been successfully confirmed.

 

7. Delivery

We currently deliver only within South Africa.

Deliveries are made using reputable courier companies operating within South Africa.

Shipping fees are charged at a fixed rate and will be displayed during checkout.

Deliveries are generally made during normal business hours between 08:00 and 17:00 on business days.

We do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to circumstances beyond our control.

Risk in the products passes to the customer upon delivery.

 

8. Returns and Refunds

Customers may request a return within three (3) calendar days of receiving their order.

To qualify for a return:

• Products must be unused;

• Products must remain in their original packaging;

• Products must be returned in a resalable condition.

Hananiah will arrange and pay for approved return shipping.

Once the returned products have been inspected and approved, refunds will be processed within five (5) business days.

Refunds will only be paid by electronic transfer into the customer's nominated South African bank account upon receipt of:

• Valid banking details; and

• A bank account confirmation letter.

Shipping charges may not be refundable unless required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights afforded to consumers under applicable South African consumer protection legislation.

 

9. Product Safety

Customers are responsible for reading product instructions before use.

Customers should discontinue use immediately if irritation or an allergic reaction occurs and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary.

Where appropriate, we recommend performing a patch test before first use.

Hananiah is not responsible for adverse reactions arising from misuse of products, failure to follow instructions, or known allergies to ingredients.

 

10. User Accounts

Customers may create an account to simplify future purchases.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for all activity occurring under their account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where fraudulent or unlawful activity is suspected.

Guest checkout is also available.

 

11. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, website content, text, graphics, branding, product descriptions and other intellectual property displayed on this website remain the property of Hananiah unless otherwise indicated.

Some images displayed on the website have been created using artificial intelligence tools.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed or used without our prior written permission.

 

12. Privacy

Hananiah respects your privacy and processes personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy laws.

Our collection, use and storage of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

 

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hananiah shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful under South African legislation.

 

14. Force Majeure

Hananiah shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, power failures, transport disruptions, pandemics or government action.
